Local Outreach Opportunities

In response to the call of Matthew 25:40 – "unto the least of these my brothers", Westminster is involved in a variety of local outreach ministries. Many of these ministries provide opportunities to serve right here in our church as well as in the Lancaster County community. Volunteer opportunities range from as regularly as weekly or on a "serve when you can" basis with all skills levels and abilities welcomed! Outreach contacts are listed below; please feel free to talk with them directly about questions or your interest in serving.

New Ministry Opportunity
English as a Second Language is a new ministry at Westminster Presbyterian Church of Lancaster focused on providing FREE English classes to anyone in our community wanting to learn or improve their English proficiency. It is a ministry in that by helping people with the basic need for knowing the English language and for living in this country we are loving our neighbor, as the Lord commanded, and giving them a taste of what it means to know our Lord Jesus Christ. We welcome any new volunteers interested in teaching, assisting classes, interviewing new students, greeting people at the door, organizing snacks for break time, and not least, volunteers committed to praying for this ministry.
