This page presents a way for our congregation to be more regularly updated about opportunities for service. Please look over these various needs and indicate where you might be willing to serve.
Hurricane Florence Disaster Response – By October 7, we hope to formalize a short-term disaster response team to areas hit by Hurricane Florence.
Explorer's ministry provides care for children with disabilities. We need helpers as one-on-one buddies during the Sunday School hour and during Explorer's church at 11:00. This is just once a month commitment! You will be trained to serve with the children.
Bible2School volunteers - We have ministry needs to fill during the lunch hour on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays to help with the Bible2School ministries from Nitrauer and Schaeffer Elementary Schools. Over 50 children came last year on a weekly basis for Bible teaching, worship, crafts and prayer. Several made professions of faith. This year, we are expanding the ministry and are looking for volunteers willing to serve as teachers, small group leaders or other support roles.
Library Help Wanted - Volunteers are needed to assist in the library on Wednesday evenings 6:30-7:30 (Sept-May). No special skills are needed.
Safety Team - We need both men and women volunteers with availability on Wednesday evenings, Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings. Let us know if you can serve or would like more information!
Nursery Worker - We are always in need of nursery workers, especially during the Sunday School and 11 am service. You can serve as much or as little as your schedule allows.
Rides for Refugee Families - Volunteers are needed to help with refugee transport to worship service and Sunday school on Sundays, Tuesday nights for ESL class and Wednesday Night Fellowship, as well as other needs among our multi-cultural neighbors.
ESL Ministry - Volunteers are needed Tuesdays, 7-9 PM, to assist students during class. Classroom helpers and teachers are also needed for the ESL Sunday school class.
Moving Team - We often have needs that arise in our congregation to help someone move. Whether you have a truck, can help provide a meal for moving day, pack some boxes or can move furniture, your help is needed!
